If you already have some ball handling skills and want to improve your strength and ball handling speed, as well as improve your breakout power, then the following ball handling workouts will definitely help you!
Of course, advanced basketball training is very difficult. The next 5 training moves are difficult. Dare to challenge?
1. While supporting ground with one hand, throw ball quickly and easily with other hand.
First get into correct push-up position, keep your back straight, put one hand on ground and throw ball with other, drive each hand 20 times and alternately drive your left and right hands as a group.
It should be noted that hand on ground must be strong to avoid injury. It is not recommended to train on a concrete court or on ground with bumps and debris.
2. Dribble with one hand, throw tennis ball with other hand, and use opportunity to change dribbles with both hands.
Lower body's center of gravity, dribble twice with one hand, throw tennis ball with other hand, catch tennis ball after dribbling with two crossed arms, do 10 times in a group and count if ball is dropped.
This action can train our sense of the ball, divert our attention to ball control, develop superior ball play, and help us raise our head and lead a breakthrough in real combat.
3. Two-handed jump shot with emergency stop while dribbling.
We need a chair to act as a defense and we need to pay attention to breaking ball control with both hands. Before we pick up ball and throw it, another ball needs to be placed on chair.
Two-handed ball control quickly improves ball control stability, equivalent to a good simulation of real-life defensive practice. Shot frequency in ball control and shots is what we need for perseverance in training.
4. Stop ball quickly with one hand and practice your dribbling rhythm.
Dribbling from bottom line on one side of court, one ball rolls forward and other ball is used to practice dribble. You can practice a combination of front shifting, crotch dribbling, rear dribbling, etc. to practice dribbling rhythm and explosive power.
5. Stand facing a wall and dribble while alternately controlling other ball with both hands to avoid landing.
Don't think this is a relatively simple action. In real practice, you will find that ball falls faster than you think, and you have to dribble fast and hard with your other hand. You can practice our dribbling speed!
