Hi everyone, I'm Mr. Skills, are you confused? You have learned some trick from internet but often don't apply it when it comes to real combat; or you have a numb scalp from all tricky tricks in "kindergarten" and you are often mistaken when it comes to big competitions. This may be due to fact that your basic skills are not strong enough. Basketball is hard to call a sport, but easy to say. An instructional video on internet can teach you movement in three to five minutes, but if you really want to improve yourself, you need to train hard, day after day, you need to endure being alone and hone your basic skills.
From today, Mr. Skills will divide basic basketball skills such as movement, passing and shooting, as well as some tactical cooperation, into several series, each series is divided into several sections, and difficulty will be taught from low to high. The path to practice for your reference.
Today is first quarter of dribbling series, difficulty index is one star.
1. Dribble vigorously with one hand
Dribble vigorously and control the ball
2. One-handed low dribbling
Brace your fingers and wrists to control height of ball around your ankles.
3. Alternate high and low dribbling
5 high dribbles 5 low dribbles
4. Push and pull the ball with one hand
Pay attention to position in which hand touches ball. Taking right hand as an example, it must be pushed to left and pulled to right.
5. Push and pull ball back and forth with one hand
Pay attention to where your hands touch ball, push it back and forth.
6. Entry and exit with one hand
4. While disguised, make 50 dribbles
Many people dribble too high when they are in front of them. Here is a little helper exercise to control height of your dribbling. During training, find a small partner to put his hands straight in front of him, and dribble under hands of a small partner to make a disguise, so that you can control height of disguise well and prevent interception!
5. Pass 50 times under crotch
Some people may not know what dribbling is.
1. Grab ball in your crotch
2. Place ball with both hands under the crotch
3. Hit ball twice on spot
4. Continuous crotch
When dribbling under crotch, many will hit front leg. Here's a little trick for everyone. Slightly lower your center of gravity while at your hips. Pass your hands through your crotch to keep the ball from hitting your front leg.
6. Dribble behind your back 50 times
If you can't dribble behind your back, here are some expansion exercises.
1. Circle ball behind your straight leg
2. Leg curl and ball spin
3. Pat back of ball
4. Hit ball three times on back
5. Beyond continuum
Now let's practice!
