Today, Celtics entered a life-and-death battle in NBA Eastern Conference Finals. The Celtics eventually bid on a second-half explosion to defeat Heat 121–108.
The total score has become 2:3. The Celtics are temporarily behind. The Heat still hold match points in series. Their hope of promotion is still relatively high.
In this campaign, Heat once led by 12 points, but they collapsed in third and fourth quarters and ended up losing by 13 points
On the sidelines, famed Heat star Riley made a face and Dragic was sent off for 6 fouls.
Throughout game, Celtics have been slightly better. Because of outside pressure, Heat were very upset and they got into a quandary by hitting 3-pointers.
Among them in regular season, Celtics are team with best three-point defense in league, so this campaign fully reflects that.
Hiro and Crowder, who played well in last game, didn't match at all on outside. The two seemed to be enchanted and couldn't make a single throw.
The decline of archers also caused Heath to become passive everywhere, cutting Adebayor's strength in half.
The reason Celtics were able to win today is because of twin stars Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
The cornerstones of two Green Army teams showed great strength
Tatum made 8 of 22 shots, 3 of 10 three-pointers, 31 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 steal.
Jaylen Brown made 12 of 23 shots, including 4 of 10 three-pointers, scored 28 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal
It was combination of two players who scored 59+18+8 that helped Green Army win game
After three quarters, many players from both sides got into trouble.
For Heath, Adebayor and Butler committed 4 offenses, Dragic and Robinson committed 3 offenses!
For Celtics, Walker committed 4 fouls, Tatum, Tice and Smart each had 3 fouls.
In third quarter, Celtics led by a maximum of 14 points. Tatum played entire quarter, made 4 of 6 shots, scored 17 points and 6 rebounds.
Celtics lead 92-83 in third quarter
Statistically, Celtics' 41 points in one quarter was team's highest single-quarter record in this year's playoffs.
At same time, they outscored their rivals by 16 points in third quarter, also marking team's record one-quarter lead in this year's playoffs.
But in third quarter, Heat only made 1 of 9 3-pointers. In three quarters, Heat only made 6 of their 28 3-pointers, and shooting percentage was only 21.4%.
For comparison, Celtics made 10 of 27 3-pointers in three quarters, and their shooting percentage was 37%.
The Celtics, on edge of precipice, can't lose anymore, so it's worth looking into whether Stevens' team can use this G5 win to herald a rebound and save series.
The Heat rookie Hero scored a crazy 37 points, and in this game he scored 14 points,
Whether he can keep his form and whether Adebayor, Butler and others can lead team to a one-time victory and reach finals is also worth seeing.
