It's always said in professional football that if a team has a good goalkeeper, they can beat half team. In amateur football, if you have a good goalkeeper, you can lead team. Whether you are a professional or an amateur, you can see importance of a special goalkeeping position. So, today we will introduce you to some basic goalkeeping training methods, we hope they will help you.
1. Fight on spot
Teammate kicks ball low and flat towards you,
Don't move too far away from your body.
2. Slow Saving
Slowly move from one pillar to center with crab steps,
Then a teammate kicks ball towards post where you started.
At first it was a ground ball,
Then you can hit semi-high ball.
3. Low flat ball + high ball rescue
Similar to second exercise
Get up immediately after keeping ball low,
Move to center and parry another high kick from a teammate.
Another practice method is to stand next to goal post,
Teammate kicks ball low to center and then high to other post.
4. Overcome obstacles
Place some targets or obstacles in middle,
After taking a few steps forward, save.
Place some obstacles between goal post and middle,
After side crossing, throw ball from far end.
The placement of obstacles is not limited to this,
As long as you can think, you can organize and practice as you wish.
