Today I'm going to introduce you to squat and backhand style topspin serve. To send top spin, because downward force is greater, result is that ball is still in reverse spin.

There are two ways to send topspin. The first way is to send ball with not very strong topspin, but ball runs for a long time and speed is very fast. Basically it is mostly pure side spin. There is relatively strong top spin, and there is a slight forward arch. Today I will focus on explaining first type of submission.

1. Squat and top spin (mostly side spin) are basics of ball action

(1) Force Direction

Let's look at first one first. Squatting means exerting downward force. If you want to send ball forward more, you need to increase forward force. All movements are similar, difference lies in touch Immediate force on forearm, push forward, do not cut, body still crouches, but forearm cuts forward, try to send ball as far as possible, and in a hurry, first jump on baseline is our table, forearm forces wrist vibrate quickly, so that speed of last ball will be very fast. Although topspin is not strong, if opponent's judgment is not good and they are still rubbing, it is easy to get up, or sidespin that eats ball goes out of bounds.

(2) Shooting

If you want to serve this ball long, fast and without backspin, you need to adjust surface of board. The side of board can be flipped slightly so that backhand side is facing slightly forward. more before cutting forward. There will be more direct hit components, and side of ball will be more completely rubbed.

(3) Touchpoint

When serving ball, point of contact should be slightly lower. Squat down with both legs as low as possible. ball is low enough and forward. The speed of ball can be quite high, because arc of ball's rebound will be high after arc is high. Even if such a ball is sent quickly, risk of a direct capture by opponent will be greater.

Second, practical method

(1) Find keypoint

When you're just starting out, you can't kick ball up first, main thing is to find that relatively low touch point, you can squat straight in a semi-squat position, and then cut straight forward on right ear, more forward Apply force, gradually control arc ball to be low, reduce downward force and increase forward force, and forearm makes wrist shake forward quickly After training, arc will be slightly lower and move forward If you run faster, back of board will point forward a little more , if it is not fully upright, it will hit edge of racket, so turn it around a bit and then push it forward. first stage of practice.

(2) Find feeling of tension

After first stage of practice, arc of ball is still a little high and speed is not high because force of body's center of gravity is not used, and center of gravity of ball, body suddenly crouches to force forearm to apply force, but pay attention to it. The ball must move forward fast enough that body can move forward when crouching, crouching forward with little effort, instead of crouching straight down, so that arms can be pushed forward to exert more power.

In second stage of practice, you cannot first throw ball up and then loosen ball while crouching, and at same time experience a feeling of applying force.During practice, you will feel that many balls are not moving fast enough, arc is still very long and hard , this is because wrist is not relaxed enough, this is a completely sharp forearm, when training, wrist is slightly tilted back, and when racket is extended, it can rest on shoulder, and forearm makes wrist shake quickly, wrist can be well moved to send ball from a lower arc and more urgently, and wrist can be relaxed to send ball quickly enough.

(3) Physical coordination

The next practice is to find point of impact in process of throwing ball. In third stage of practice, you can better coordinate wrist and forearm. I find it important to find point of impact after learning this step. not a problem, just need more time to practice.

This is first way to topspin while squatting on left. It can also be called pure lateral rotation. That's what we're going to focus on in today's video. In next issue, we will talk about how to squat to the left through a friction ball.
