The tutorial in this episode mainly explains the method to improve service stability. If you want to learn more, check out this episode's tutorial video.
1. Improve service stability
When serving ball, stand near center line of table and throw ball. The friction distance between racket and ball should be short and duration should be long so that service stability is stronger. , Go down a little lower to keep ball spinning.
2. Display FAQ
When practicing serve, you must first determine what effect you want to serve, and then decide how to serve ball. Everyone says that presentation is based not on teaching, but on enlightenment. The so-called enlightenment consists in constantly correcting one's own actions in practice.
(1) Ball throw problem
The ball must not be thrown obliquely, and it must not be thrown inside (foul). If it is thrown too far, it will not be easy to feel combined effort.
(2) Point of impact
If there is a high arc during serve or ball does not pass through net, position of point of impact must be corrected. If ball hits edge of table, it means that point of impact is too low. You must have coordinate in your heart and swing your racket in time to hit ball.
(3) Friction problem
When serving ball, arc fluctuates from high to low, including unstable rotation of serve, which may be due to insufficient friction, but should not increase force of shot.
Once these three elements are constantly adjusted and ball is guaranteed to be stable, it's your own serve. In table tennis, it is not theory in absolute sense that is more important, but a combination of theory and practice.
